1. Seed of a devotional cycle

The seed of a devotional cycle — a way of teaching the mind to fall in love with its own highest awareness, to cultivate unconditional love for all beings, and to cross the ocean of samsara through daily intimacy with the heartmind.

🌒 Devotion to Highest Awareness

Devotion here is not directed outward. It is the mind learning to trust its own awakened nature, to recognise the aware reality that has never been absent.

Each devotion becomes a gentle vow:

To return to freshness. To return to clarity. To return to unconditional love for all beings.

This is the cause of all present and future happiness — the mind remembering what it truly is.

🌊 Crossing the Ocean of Samsara

Samsara is not a world to escape; it is a misapprehension — the habit of living through the conditioned mind’s second‑hand reflections (second order principle).

Crossing the ocean means:

  • Recognising appearance as mere imputation
  • Seeing emptiness as the nature of all phenomena
  • Uniting compassion and wisdom as inseparable through awareness

When the mind stops clinging to its unaware self‑adherence, the ocean becomes transparent, and crossing it becomes simply seeing clearly.

***Daily Devotions: Cultivating the Relationship Within***

Daily devotion is the practice of befriending awareness. It is a relationship with the mind’s deepest nature — tended gently, tended consistently, tended with love.

A devotion is not a ritual; it is a return.

Each day, one mission:

A journey into the ordinary heartmind, which, when undisturbed, reveals the treasure within.

This treasure is the indivisible unity of:

  • Relative truth — compassionate skilful means (in conventional/ functional reality)
  • Ultimate reality — union of compassionate skilful means realising wisdom‑emptiness

Together, they form the unmistaken path.

🔥 A Mission a Day: Journeys Deeper into the Ordinary Heartmind

A devotional cycle:

1. Freshness Vigil

Return to the moment as if seeing it for the first time. Freshness dissolves habitual samsaric momentum.

2. Compassion Vigil

Let unconditional love for all beings be the ground. Compassion opens the heartmind without effort.

3. Clarity Vigil

Rest in the aware nature of mind. Clarity is devotion to what is already present.

4. Emptiness Vigil

See appearance as mere designation. Emptiness liberates the mind from mistaken grasping to those appearances and feelings in the mind.

5. Union Vigil

Train in the indivisible unity of the two truths. This is the heart of Dharma education.

6. Paramita Vigil

Let one pāramitā be a focus guide of the day. Each becomes a lamp carried across samsara.

🌟 The Treasure Within

When the ordinary heartmind is not disturbed, it reveals its natural radiance — the treasure that was never lost.

This treasure is:

  • Awareness free from conceptual overlay
  • Compassion free from self‑reference
  • Wisdom free from dualistic grasping

Daily devotion is simply learning to stay with this treasure, to honour it, to let it guide the path.
